Credit Card Surcharge Fee

As of April 1st, 2025 we will be imposing a 3% credit card surcharge fee.

We will be following Federal and State laws, and the credit card company’s rules regarding these surcharges. We want to be as transparent as possible therefore, the 3% surcharge ONLY applies to Visa and Mastercard credit cards. The fee will not be imposed for Discover or American Express credit cards, debit cards, checks, or cash.

We do not like having to do this, but we are trying to offset the increases imposed by the credit card processors. By doing this, we do not have to increase prices across the board and it offers alternative payment methods to avoid the surcharge.

Booking appointments

We are currently booking about a week out however, as the weather changes and holidays approach we will get busier and availability will decrease. Please consider making your appointments ahead of time to avoid any delays in grooming. We do have the ability to schedule appointments throughout the year.

Booking appointments

We open at 7am, Monday through Thursday and close no later than 3pm, Fridays we open at 7am and typically close at noon (sometimes later) however, if grooming is finished and all dogs have been picked up we will close early. If a later pickup time is needed, we can arrange this, with sufficient notice. We schedule our days very carefully to allow maximum efficiency, because of this we ask that you please drop off and pick up at your scheduled time. If you need to change your scheduled time, please notify us in advance.

We are locally & family owned and operated and have been since 1981! Cindy started grooming out of her home before moving to her first storefront located at 1410 N. Main Street in 1990. Canine & Abel moved to the Daimler location nearly 25 years ago. Cindy's son worked as a groomer before relocating to Chicago and then NYC as a groomer and Cindy's daughter works as the receptionist.
